In order to save natural sources and energy and to protect the environment we are obliged to use low-power but at the same time effective aircrafts. They are simple in design, easy to operate, economical and mobile which makes them highly promising.

Nowadays there are over 30.000 motor hang-gliders across the globe. Companies offer over 300 various designs and sport is not the only application field for them. Among the people willing to purchase motor hang-gliders are land-surveyors, archaeologists (to carry out photography of dig sites), and agriculturist (to inspect their grounds). Gas engineers, geologists, postal and telecommunication workers, fishing inspectors are also in need of a light and easy to operate aeronautical device.

Motor hang-gliders can transport people and freights over impassable bits of Russian taigas and tundras. It is also much more economical than helicopter. And what is more unlike a helicopter it can transport the freight virtually everywhere. It can deliver mail, food and other small goods. To sum it up it is obvious that even though the airship industry is not yet vastly developed these machines are being used for many of different purposes.

Using our new granulated magnesium alloy MA2-1gr for the light air vehicles, designers will manage to solve a number of problems and carry out new engineering solutions. Granulated magnesium alloy is not only lighter (compared to aluminium), but is also characterized by higher strength-to-weight ratio and excellent absorbing properties. Its vibration strength regarding the damping capacity is 100 times more than that of duraluminium.

The use of high-strength granulated magnesium alloy for the motor hang-gliders frames will be a big step forward in the aircraft industry.
